Senior dogs often spend their time sleeping the day away, and with our busy schedules, we may not have time to provide them new adventures and time outside the home. This can lead to long boring days, and a decrease in mental and physical capabilities in their old age. While your senior dog may not be able to handle vigorous activities like they used to, they should still get regular exercise and mental stimulation. Exercise benefits old dogs in many ways, keeping muscles toned and minds clear, and an old dog's mind engaged with the world around them.

When we take your senior dog out, the new surroundings are exciting. New scents to smell and sights to see. Other dogs, people, wildlife as well as the smells and textures of dirt, grass, and leaves will give your dog a sense of adventure. We might take a slow paced walk in the woods, down the path of a local park, a fun trip to a local dog friendly store, or even a picnic under some shady trees (a treat for them included!). Riding in the car is an adventure in itself - give them what their heart desires most, adventure.
